The Judges:
Catherine Eberhardt
Catherin arrived in the US from France at age 35. She began attending courses at the Spruill Center for the Arts to discover different types of paints (watercolor, acrylic, and Chinese art) and found her true love in oil painting with Anita Lentz. She has enjoyed studying several painting styles and subjects to express herself differently each time.
Lewis King
Lew King has been a Dunwoody resident since 1972. He has 2 children both graduates of Vanderlyn and Dunwoody High. Lew attended the University of Kentucky and holds a degree in Journalism and Advertising. He spent his entire working career in the printing/publishing business. At one time he was Vice President Sales with Western Publishing Company, one of the largest publishers of Children's books and games in the world. Western's Little Golden Books remain the most popular children's book products ever produced. In later years he worked extensively on the print and publishing side of the magazine and publication industry with such prominent companies as R. R. Donnelley and World Publishing printing such publications as National Geographic, Time, and Sports Illustrated along with many others. Lew's father was a prominent cartoonist with a published comic strip in the late 40's and early 50''s. The strip called Tinker the Thinker, ran in a number of newspapers throughout the midsouth. Proving the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, his son Bill is also a cartoonist with his own strip called Magic in a Minute as well as running a packaging design business in Chicago that specializes in children's graphics for the cereal and frozen foods industries. Lew has always been interested in graphics remains an ardent cartoonist although at the amateur level these days. He has been a judge for a number of industry awards associations and contests.
